East comes from the Shandong Province in Mainland China. He obtained a Bachelor of Law degree from the China University of Political Science and Law and then came to Hong Kong and obtained a Master of Law degree from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is now taking the Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Laws (Common Professional Examination) courses at HKU SPACE.

Prior to joining ELLALAN as a paralegal, East worked in a local firm in Hong Kong, as a Trademark Paralegal for 3.5 years focusing in PRC trademark prosecution and portfolio management.

East speaks Mandarin, English, and Cantonese.
