Our Managing Partner, Alan Chiu, was earlier invited by Commercial Radio 881 to do an interview on pressing IP issues raised in Policy Address 2023. During the interview, he covered several key topics, including (i) proposed consultation of copyright ordinance amendment to respond to challenges brought by Artificial Intelligence, (ii) introduction of a “patent box” tax incentives and its purposes, and (iii) recent trends of registered designs and the underlying reasons for the proposed reduction of official fees for registered designs.
