After rounds of reviews and evaluation against more than 3,000 applications from over 110 jurisdictions, the
上海仲裁委员会 Shanghai Arbitration Commission (“SHAC”) has included our Partner,
Simon Wong, as one of its 387 panel arbitrators overseas.
SHAC, as one of the first seven pioneering arbitral institutions set up in China, was established by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government in 1995. It provides another option to resolve dispute between parties through alternative dispute resolution. Since its establishment, SHAC has administrated over 40,000 cases accumulatively with a total amount in dispute of approximately RMB 200 billion.
Simon is an international arbitration and commercial litigation lawyer with over 25 years of experience, covering cross-border corporate, commercial and contractual disputes. He is also a China-Appointed Attesting Officer (appointed by the Ministry of Justice of PRC), a Council Member of the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators and a Fellow of both the Chartered institute of Arbitrators and the Hong Kong Institute of Arbitrators.
Moving forward, we look forward to continuing our impressive growth in the dispute resolution practice area and are excited to further strengthen our expertise in handling arbitration cases.
Congratulations again to Simon’s appointment!
