Earlier this month, our Partner Valerie Suen, Senior Associate Janice Yip, and Associate Tiffany Li, were invited by CBRE Hong Kong to give a seminar on Intellectual Property 101 and Day-day Data Privacy.

The seminar covered an overview of IP with a particular focus on trade marks and copyright and included an extensive discussion on trade mark prosecution strategies with real-life examples. In addition, the seminar covered an introduction to Hong Kong data privacy protection principles, and a discussion on direct marketing scenarios and the legal requirement of consent.

The seminar was very interactive and the attendees were able to engage in discussion and ask Valerie, Janice and Tiffany many practical questions regarding IP and data privacy.
