Our Managing Partner Alan Chiu was invited by HKSTP to speak at its business acceleration programme the Global Acceleration Academy (GAA) which aims to assist up-and-coming startups localize their innovation and achieve success in the Asian market and beyond.

As part of the GAA 3-day Business Exploration Tour programme, Alan shared his expertise in protection of intellectual property rights, especially in introducing Hong Kong’s New Patent System (to be launched on 19 December 2019) as well as important tips on trademark registrations in ASEAN regions to startups from different areas such as fintech, insurtech, consumer and smart city etc.

The sharing was well-received and the audience was particularly eager to learn more about the implications of the launch of the New Patent System in Hong Kong.
