04/05/2021

Mainland China has been one of ELLALAN’s key areas of growth in recent years, and we are delighted to be invited to speak at a conference in Xiamen last week about Hong Kong’s investment opportunities for cross-border e-commerce businesses.

The conference was very well attended (with 200+ participants online and offline) and co-organized by Invest Hong Kong, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Guangdong, and Fujian Province Haixihui Cross-Border E-Commerce Union. Speakers were invited to share about various practical aspects of operating cross-border e-commerce businesses in or through Hong Kong, including government policies, visa arrangements, business opportunities and IP licensing issues etc.

Our Managing Partner Alan Chiu shared his insights and practical experience about cross-border IP licensing and highlighted the legal and commercial issues that are worth to note for Mainland based e-commerce businesses.

ELLALAN will continue to have more news and updates regarding the developments in China, particularly for the Greater Bay Area.
