Rosita has almost 30 years of experience dealing with both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property, entertainment and information technology issues in Hong Kong and the Mainland China. She handles the full spectrum of intellectual property work from enforcement, litigation to licensing and portfolio management.
Rosita is a former IP Partner of Mayer Brown (formerly known as Johnson Stokes & Master, then JSM, then Mayer Brown JSM) and she has advised global conglomerates and Hong Kong blue-chip clients on their global trademark portfolio and enforcement portfolio in APAC, spreading across different industry sectors such as financial services, real estate, retail, hospitality as well as luxury and fashion.
She also has solid experience and excellent track records in IP litigation (including handling interlocutory injunctions and Anton Piller orders, Hong Kong Customs seizures, domain name complaints, shadow company name disputes). On the commercial and transactional side, she assists clients in drafting and negotiating licence and franchise agreements and conducting IP audit and IP related due diligence.
Being an active author of IP articles, Rosita has also presented a number of internal and external presentations on intellectual property, covering topics on Introduction to Intellectual Property (Trade Marks, Copyright, Patents, Trade Secrets), Music Copyright in Hong Kong, Copyright Licensing, Anton Piller Injunctions, Tackling Shadow Companies, and Domain Name Arbitration Proceedings under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy, to name just a few. Rosita was a moderator in IP conferences including the Business of IP Asia Forum (BIP Asia Forum) in 2018 and INTA annual conference in 2019. She has received a number of accolades throughout her professional career, signifying her expertise in the IP sphere.

- Represented a famous international school in a High Court action against a local educational establishment for trade mark infringement and passing off
- Acted for a major Bank in Hong Kong in an interlocutory injunction against a PRC financial company for trade mark infringement and unfair competition
- Acted for a famous hotel in Hong Kong and secured victory for them in a litigation against a PRC company for using its logo on hotel
- Advised leading advertising, PR and marketing agencies on drafting and negotiating artist agreements and on IP issues in advertising campaign.
