Winnie has been in trademark practice for over 20 years. She started her career as a trademark paralegal in an established local law firm Sit, Fung, Kwong & Shum. She furthered her career as an Associate in the Intellectual Property Team at the global law firm Hogan Lovells and later as a Senior Associate at Eversheds Sutherland, during which she worked very closely with various seasoned IP professionals on IP portfolios of many global conglomerates.
Winnie has extensive experience in handling different types of IP work for global and local clients from a range of industries, with focus on trademark and branding matters. Her practice ranges from prosecution work, such as managing IP portfolios and filings, conducting clearance searches, formulating filing strategies, to giving IP-related opinions, conducting commercial IP due diligence, supervising IP investigations and anti-counterfeiting actions and handling enforcement and litigation. She also handles domain name complaints, company name hijacking, copyright and licensing.
Winnie is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
